 Prairie Style (Frank Lloyd Wright)
1. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
One of the key concepts of Frank Loyd wright style is how he incorporates the houses he builds to the landscape on where they are built.  His prairie style house has horizontal layers, so it looks flat like  a prairie and the walls of windows on one side make the house harmonies with nature. Even their front door reminds me of an entrance of an animal hole.

2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
The video showed more of the natural surroundings of the house were incorporated in the house. While the text showed more how buildings were structured and the technical aspects that went along with building it.

3.  What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of Architecture?
 I enjoyed the film. I did not realize how much nature and architecture and that a building can standout or blend with its surroundings.

4. Why did you choose the films that you watched?
I chose Frank Lloyd Wright because he was the only architect that i have heard of.  I was curious to see his work and what made him famous.

Last Call for Planet Earth: Sustainable Development and Architecture
1. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
The  key concept in the video Last Call for Planet Earth was the need to become more environmentally conscious and make buildings more sustainable. By trying not to deplete our natural resources buildings are made to make use of our natural resources. An example is windows and sky lights which help with solar heating and high ceilings help with natural light. Also taking advantage of existing buildings and refurbishing them to become sustainable and preserving the history.

2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
The text talked about green architecture in different ways to use building materials to increase energy.  The text also discussed how to increase public awareness of environmental concerns.

3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of Architecture?
My opinion the film is how architects are doing more when creating buildings to be more sustainable and environmentally conscious.  They are using very innovative ideas like using the sun to provide hot water and putting in grass roots to prevent over heating.

4. Why did you choose the films that you watched? I chose this video because i have an interest in the environment. I have also wondered and concerned how so many buildings are demolished and not fixed up.
