Colors and Emotion

Color and it's effects on emotions:
The effects of color on emotion can at times be very subtle. You may have a certain preference in shirt but not realize that it is the color that provides you comfort. Considering each color has a psychological value it is possible to go from tranquility to rage based on a certain color.

What fascinates me most about color is how some colors create harmony while others clash. Mostly we as individuals see this the same way no matter what are favorite colors are. When we see two colors that are not paired well together we feel discomfort.

Color Video:
The biggest impact this  video had on me was from the women who went to Venice who was trying to express her feelings with color. She had such a difficult time because her feeling were conflicting. She thought the scene in Venice was creepy but nice, temporary but permanent. She finally remembered how interesting the scene was and the colors became harmonious.

Feeling Video:
The biggest impact this video had on me was the transformation of Fransisco Goya's art work from bright colors to shadowy and murky. His illness led his art and his mind to a darker place. Even as he painted his official  portraits he painted an overcast of ugliness.
